BOB BRESCHARD Varsity Head Coach Bob Breschard is entering his 4th season as the Lancers Head Football Coach and his 24th season coaching high school football. Coach Breschard has been on the staff the past 5 years as the defensive coordinator. He also served as a defensive coordinator at West Orange High School, Passaic Valley, and was with Livingston High School from 1999-2003. “It is an honor to be given the task of developing this into a program that the entire Lancer community can be proud of. As a teacher, a coach, a parent, a resident of Livingston and now as the head coach football coach I look forward to the challenges ahead with excitement and enthusiasm”, said Coach Breschard. Coach Breschard attended Montclair State University and holds a Master’s Degree in Education. He teaches Physical Education at Livingston High School, and has previously coached Freshmen Baseball in the spring. He and his wife Vanessa have 2 children, Bobby and Emma. Bobby will be a sophomore and plays both offensive line and defensive line for the Lancers. MARIO CARUSO Freshman Defensive Coordinator Mario Caruso joins the Lancers staff for the 4th year after serving as an assistant at Waldwick High School the last 4 years. He was responsible for coaching the wide receivers on offense and the secondary on defense. He began his coaching career as a volunteer for the PAL program for the Verona Eagles. After graduating from Verona HS, Mario received his B.S in Health & Physical Education at William Paterson University. He currently teaches in Jersey City, and resides in Hawthorne with his wife Jennifer. TRAVIS CHINA Coach Travis China enters his 2nd season as the wide receivers and cornerbacks coach for the Livingston Lancers. He attended West Orange High School, and played wide receiver and safety during the 2005-2009 seasons. His career continued at the collegiate level when he attended East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania for two years. Unfortunately, a career ending injury sidelined him. Coach China went on to join the coaching staff at his high school alma mater in 2012, where he assisted with coaching the freshman football team. Football has always been Coach China's true passion, and he is excited for his years coaching the Lancers. |
PAUL CIRLINCIONE Defensive Coordinator Paul Cirlincione is entering his 13th season coaching on the Lancer Football staff. This season will be his first season as Defensive Coordinator, while also coaching safeties and running backs on offense. In his previous 12 years coaching at Livingston, he has served as offensive coordinator, outside linebackers, quarterbacks, receivers and assistant freshman coach. Coach Cirlincione graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education from Montclair State University. He currently teaches Health and Physical Education at Livingston High School and coaches Boy’s Tennis for LHS in the spring. RON BARBELLA Receivers/DBs Ron Barbella grew up in Livingston and graduated Livingston High in 1984. He attended The College of Boca Raton in Florida where he played Baseball. He graduated from Essex County College and attended Kean University. Ron has been married for 24 years to his wife Debbie and they have 3 children Samantha, Carly and Anthony. Ron has been a Police Officer for 29 years, 24 of those years have been with the Livingston Police Department where he presently serves as the Sergeant in the Patrol Division. He started his coaching career in 1990 at Bayley Ellard High School in Madison and in 1991 helped coach the team to a conference championship. In 1995 he went on to Seton Hall Prep for 4 years and won a conference championship in 1996. From 2000-2004 he was an assistant at Livingston High school winning the conference in 2003. He took some years off to coach his children and in 2013 he returned to be an assistant with Chatham High School. In 2015 he returned to Livingston High School to be an assistant coach. ANTHONY VITALE Head Freshman Coach Coach Vitale (Vie-tal-ee) joins the Lancer staff for his 4th year after serving as an offensive and defensive line coach at Wayne Hills High School the previous 3 years and West Orange High School for 10 years before Wayne Hills. While at West Orange, he also an assistant softball and strength & conditioning coach. At Wayne Hills, he was responsible for both lines as well as tutoring the long snappers. After playing and graduating from Roselle Park HS, Anthony went on to earn All-American honors at Montclair State University where he captained the football squad. He received his B.S. in Physical Education, and went on to earn his Master’s in Education from Nova Southeastern University. He currently teaches in West Orange, and resides in East Hanover with his wife, Marcella, their daughter, Giuliana and Son Luca. |
BRYAN ILLE Head Line Coach Joining the Lancers this year is Coach Bryan Ille (il-lee). Coach Ille will be called upon to tutor the offensive and defensive lines here at Livingston High School. He has 17 years coaching experience with stops at Barringer, West Orange, and Wayne Hills. Coach Ille’s most recent stop was as an Offensive Coordinator at Irvington High School. As an offensive coordinator, Ille helped Irvington High School to a conference championship and totaled more then 7,500 yards of total offense in two seasons. He is a former Essex County Coach of the Year in Spring Track and Field– at WOHS winning back to back Group 4 Section 1 State Champions - and also has experience in coaching basketball at the high school level. After graduating from Hasbrouck Heights HS (where he was inducted into their Hall of Fame), he attended Montclair State University. While at Montclair State University he earned All-NJAC and All-Region honors for three consecutive years as an Offensive Lineman. He earned a B.S. in Phys Ed, and a Master’s in Education (Nova SE). He teaches P.E. in the West Orange school district. Bryan currently resides in Clifton with his wife, Liz, and their four children, Maddie, Lu Lu, Bryan and Dominic. JOEY FISCHER QBs/DBs Joe Fischer is entering his 3rd season coaching on the Lancer football staff as a secondary and quarterbacks coach. Previously he coached for two seasons in Roselle as the quarterback’s coach as well. Along with football coach Fischer coaches youth basketball in town at the local YMCA. Coach Fischer is currently finishing his degree in Criminal Justice at Montclair State University; and plans to pursue a masters degree in school counseling. Coach Fischer currently serves as a sub in the Livingston school district. TOM BRENNAN Freshman Assistant Coach Joining the Lancers for his 4th year is Coach Tommy Brennan. Coach Brennan will be called upon to tutor the freshmen offensive and defensive lines. Coach Brennan played football for West Orange High School as a center and long snapper. He played for Coach Breschard, Coach Vitale and also Coach Ille while attending West Orange High School. Coach Brennan graduated from Kean University in 2016 with a Bachelor degree is Health and Physical Education. He will be starting his career in education as an instructional aid at Harrison Elementary School in Livingston. Since 2009, He has volunteered as a coach for the West Orange PAL and he has volunteered as a varsity offensive line coach for West orange High School in 2014. Tommy currently resides in West Orange with his parents Tom and Dawn and two sister Katyln and Brandi. VINNY FISCHER Bio to follow |
